Replaced any electrolytic capacitor that had been extracted.Īny easily accessible jumpers, relays and trim capacitors were re-soldered on both PLL & RF UNIT's.īoth PCB's were cleaned up thoroughly and prepared before any components were to be re-installed.Īlso jumpers on PLL + PA + FILTER + IF + AT UNIT's were spray cleaned with DeoxIT D5 for clean electrical connections. So dug in to both VCO5 on the PLL UNIT and VCO1 on the RF UNIT as per pictures.Ĭleaning up each component that was to be reused, removing glue and re-soldering each leg to protect against further corrosion.
